Covid-19 Update

We’re excited to welcome you back and happy to offer all of our dental services again!

You will notice some changes we have made to help keep you and our staff safe at all times in our office.

Pre-Appointment Screening Form
Before your scheduled visit, you will be asked to complete a pre-appointment screening form with a set of health-related questions. The pre-appointment screening form can be found on our website under the “Forms” tab. We are required to have you complete this questionnaire prior to your appointment. If you are unable to complete this form online, please call our office and we would be happy to assist you by asking the questions over the phone. After completing the form, it will be emailed directly to us when you click “submit.” Please do not schedule a dental appointment if you are currently sick or if you or anyone you live with has not been feeling well for the past 2 weeks.

Insurance
Prior to your appointment, please let us know if you have any insurance changes so we can enter the information into our computer. We are trying not to handle or copy cards in the office at this time and prefer to take the updated information by phone or by texting through our patient portal.

Arriving for your appointment
When you arrive for your appointment, please stay in your car and call us at 541-343-8527 to let us know you are here. We will send someone from the office out to take your temperature and then escort you directly into the treatment room. We are asking anyone who comes with you to please wait in the car instead of the reception area. Essential caregivers or parents of minors may accompany the patient into the office if they wear a mask.

Your Safety is our Top Priority

Dr. Stephenson has researched every possible way to provide the safest dental environment for our patients and our staff since the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic. We follow all OSHA, ADA and CDC infection control guidelines for dental offices. Our list of universal precautions that have always been in place and additional precautions taken for Covid 19 now include:

  • Pre-appointment health screening questions for each patient

  • Personalized check-in with patients escorted directly from their car to the treatment room

  • No patients waiting in the reception area to minimize contact with other patients

  • Daily temperature checks of all patients and staff

  • Frequent Hand washing before and after each patient and throughout the day for all staff

  • Hand sanitizer stations throughout the office

  • Plexiglass barrier shields at the front office

  • ADA and CDC approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): N95 or level 3 medical masks, face shields, gloves and medical scrubs

  • Utilization of a medical grade autoclave sterilizer for all instruments

  • Complete disinfection of all surfaces in each treatment room and our lab

  • Disinfecting all door handles, surfaces in the bathroom and the reception area throughout the day

  • The addition of the all new HALO-LED air purification system to reduce airborne and surface contaminants and pollutants

  • To complement our infection control process, we have added the Vector Vortex Extra Oral External Evacuation system to our treatment rooms. This system will capture, contain, clean, sterilize and eliminate dental aerosols, creating a safer environment for our office.

Please be assured we are doing everything possible to ensure your health and safety at all times. We will continue to monitor and update our protocols based on information about Coronavirus from the CDC, OSHA, the ADA and local public health agencies. If you have any questions or concerns, please call us at 541-343-8527. We look forward to seeing you at your next visit!
